Hi, I'm Katie Hayes, a third year med student with the most alarming thing I've learned so far.
When you think how can I keep my child healthy?
You probably think about good nutrition, fun exercise, restful sleep, vaccinations, and regular checkups.
True true true true true.
But what if I told you one of the biggest impacts you can have on your child's health is by teaching them about car safety.
The number one reason our kid die before age 19 is accidents.
Mostly car crashes.
Using the right car seat and teaching our kids to wear a seatbelt prevents injuries, even saves their lives.
And don't forget to wear yours.
Childhood is a lot more fun if you're around to play with them.
I'm Katie Haye with my medical student minute.
