Take a look at students that run their own record company.

The music industry program at the College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY has developed a unique project for it’s students. It’s called the Rose Record Label Group and it’s completely run by students in the program. Filling the positions of executives, producers, engineers, songwriters and artists, the students are learning the business from the ground up, and making and releasing records as well.
